Abstract

1299130 Television; X-ray apparatus N V RABODZEI E M LJUBIMOV M N NADOBNIKOV and A A KROKHIN 24 Nov 1970 55795/70 Headings H4F and H5R A closed circuit T.V. inspection X-ray microscope comprises a shielded chamber 1 where a specimen 2 is placed to be illuminated by a beam of X-rays from a source 3. A T.V. camera 4 comprising an X-ray sensitive T.V. pick-up tube 5 and a pre-amplifier, is rotatably mounted in a wall of the chamber 1 and is connected by a cable 8 to a T.V. monitor 9. The monitor has a crossline sight 11 produced by mixing suitable pulses synchronized with the sweep into the T.V. signal. The specimen 2 is positioned with the aid of a no-ordinate-positioning device and angles between details in the specimen may be determined by rotating the camera, not the specimen, the required angle being read off on a scale 7 by means of a pointer 6 on the camera.
