Abstract

1298985 Fog-generator BURGESS VIBROCRAFTERS Inc 10 March 1970 [10 March 1969] 11379/70 Heading A5G Portable, hand-held apparatus for producing insecticidal and like fogs comprises a reservoir 14 for liquid insecticide communicating with a coiled duct 57 via a non-return valve in housing 20 (see Fig. 4, not shown, for details) the duct being heated by burning fuel from the pressurised reservoir 16 issuing from the burning nozzle 54, the coil and burner being contained within the cylindrical housing 40. The liquid in reservoir 14 is under atmospheric pressure and is delivered in discrete portions to the heated coil by operation of the "trigger" 21 associated with the handle 12, the trigger actuating a reciprocating cylinder type pumping mechanism 76 in the reservoir. Delivery of fuel is controlled by the needle valve 26 operated by the regulator dial 18.
