1298882 Control of DC motors SKIL (NEDERLAND) NV 1 April 1970 [8 May 1969] 15444/70 Heading H2J [Also in Division H1] A speed control circuit, for a power drill, for example, comprises a motor 44 in series with a silicon controlled rectifier 42 whose gate is coupled to a variable resistor 48 actuated by a sliding trigger 14. The trigger 14 first closes contacts 25, 22 (see Division H1) then moves slider 48a, with the contacts 25, 22 still engaged, and ultimately connects contact 25 to contact 23 to short-circuit the SCR.
