Abstract

1298791 Feeding sheets PENTACON DRESDEN KAMERAUND KINOWERKE VEB 5 March 1971 6202/71 Heading B8R Original and copy sheets are simultaneously separated from piles carried on tables 3, 3a, respectively, and forwarded between roller pairs 10/1O and 11/11a to be superimposed between rollers 28 and 29. The sheets are separated by gear-linked friction rollers 6 and 6a which are driven via a friction coupling, together with the roller pairs, from a shaft 13 rotated by a motor 14. The separator rollers are driven through the roller 10 via a one-revolution clutch comprising a disc 18 engaged by a magnetically operable detent 20. The detent is periodically released by a control disc 21 which actuates a switch S controlling the detent magnet Ma1, thus permitting each separator to forward a single sheet before the detent re-engages. A second control disc 23 periodically actuates a switch S2 which causes feed rollers 28, 29 to be parted and a stop, carried on member 32, to be raised to intercept the pair of sheets. The stop is subsequently removed and the rollers caused to grip and forward the sheets to exposure drum 26. Each spring-pressed pile table carries a detector for determining when the pile is exhausted and for preventing further separation from the other pile.
