Abstract

129,795. Mills Equipment Co., and Lethern, A. A. July 17, 1918. Knapsacks.-A knapsack is provided at each end A with a hinged pocket B to contain a boot or other article. The side pockets are preferably formed of two or more pieces of flexible material cut and sewn together, with two parts overlapping as at B<1> and with a backing B<2> forming the hinge and a lid B<4>. The lid is provided with front and side flaps. Straps D and buckles C enable the pockets to be secured against the ends of the knapsack, or, when swung outwards so that a rolled coat E or other article may be carried over and secured on the knapsack, may hold them against the roll, as shown in Fig. 2. Shoulder straps G and a head strap H are provided.
