Abstract
1297441 Presser foot R B HOWELL 25 Feb 1970 8999/70 Heading DIG A presser foot 18 is provided with at least one presser roller 46 having a guide groove 54 thereon for the teeth of a sliding clasp fastener 22 which is to be sewn to material 54, a passage for the teeth being provided rearwardly of the groove. As shown the foot component 18 carries two further rollers, and is adjustably connected to the shank 20 by the frictional engagement of an elongated slide ' 28 with the lower parts of flanges 36, 38 of the shank. The foot part 18 may be rockably connected to the slide bar (Fig. 4, not shown); the rear rollers may be replaced by bottom panels (70, 72, Fig. 5 not shown) and the front roller may be releasably attached to the foot to interchange forward guide rollers (Fig. 6, not shown).
