Abstract

1295940 Trench shoring frames A R S MORRICE 8 July 1971 [18 July 1970] 34939/ 70 Heading E1E A trench shoring frame has plate means 42 releasably connected to a guide frame 34 for vertical movement therewith relative to the side walls 2, 4 of the frame in order to stabilise the ground beneath the frame. A pair of vertically spaced guide frames are preferably used and each such frame is preferably rectangular and slotted along three of its sides to accommodate the plate means. The upper guide frame is reciprocated by jacks and the plate means releasably secured thereto by pegs, see Fig. 4 (not shown). The frame may also be provided with stabilizing fins 26, 28, a jack-operated thrust plate and a de-watering device, see also Figs. 1, 2 and 5 (not shown).
