Abstract
1295358 Rotary positive-displacement pumps TOYODA KOKI K K 20 March 1970 [1 April 1969] 13622/70 Heading F1F [Also in Division F2] An hydraulic pump has spring-loaded abutments 23 lodged in a fixed member 12 and engaging with a cam ring 20 secured to a rotary shaft 18 that has suction and delivery channels 27, 29 therein communicating with recesses 26, 28 in said ring. Notches 23a give fluid access to the outer sides of the abutments; and notches 31, 32 at the leading edges of the recesses obviate sudden pressure changes. Discs 14, 15 are held against the ring 20 by pressure transmitted from the channel 29. The working fluid is stored in a reservoir 34. The outgoing fluid flows to a delivery port 50 by way of a channel 37 and a Venturi tube 49. The flow-rate at the port 50 is rendered substantially constant by a spring-loaded valve-member 43 controlling a port 44 through which fluid can return to the channel 27. The position of the valvemember depends upon the pressure differential between the channel 37 and the throat 49a of the tube 49. The valve-member increases the flow through the port 44 when a pilot pressure-relief valve, Fig.5 (not shown), opens to connect this port to a port 57. (For figures see next page)
