Abstract

1295246 Collapsible golf club carriers G L AITKEN 20 Nov 1969 [21 Nov 1968] 55195/68 Heading B7B [Also in Division A6] A carrier for golf clubs and ancillary equipment comprises a central portion having protruding portions 2a, 3a and a pair of opposed longitudinal compartments, each of which is closed by a lid 7, 8, hinged, Fig. 5, or hingedly linked, Fig. 7 to the central portion, each lid having a protruding portion 11 or 12 adjacent the corresponding protruding portion 2a, 3a. The compartments and lids include means for retaining the equipment, which means include recessed portions in the protruding portions, formed substantially in the shape of at least a part of a piece of equipment. In the embodiment of Fig. 7, flexible covers 46 extend over the lids which are open at one end. Collapsible wheel assemblies are mounted on the central part. The opposed longitudinal compartments of the central portion may be defined by a partition 6 Fig. 1 which is surrounded by longitudinal and end frame members which constitute the central portion or alternatively a pair of partitions 6a, Fig. 5 connected back-toback may each be secured to framing members 2b, 3b, 4b and 5b to form the compartments.
