Abstract

1292612 Excavator teeth J C BAMFORD EXCAVATORS Ltd 30 Jan 1970 [13 Feb 1969] 7743/69 Heading E1F In a recess in the forked rear portion of a digger tooth can be positioned a releasable clamping means that will, when the forked portion of the tooth embraces a digging edge of an earth working implement at any desired point along the edge, bear against the implement and the tooth to urge a part of the tooth into engagement with the blade at a position rearwardly of the edge. The means may be a wedge 17 driven into a socket extending rearwards from the front of the tooth or a resilient pin or spring coil inserted into a recess in extending transversely of a limb of the forked portion of the tooth. The engaging parts of the tooth and blade may be a projection or a recess. On one surface of the edge there may be provided pairs of tooth-locating projections 30.
