Abstract

1292379 Sledges J UTTENTHALER 23 March 1970 14034/70 Heading B7B A lever 3 rigidly fixed to the body of a sledge is used to steer and brake the sledge on application of lateral and rearward pressure respectively. Slides 8 and ribs 10 are provided on the sledge undersurface, the ribs 10 increasing in depth toward, and extending beyond the rear of the sledge. When the user pulls back on lever 3 the rear ends 5 of ribs 10 dig into the surface to effect braking, and slides 8 are lifted from the surface to allow steering to be effected. The body may be hollow and filled with a less dense substance.
