Abstract

1290535 Bulldozers VSESOJUZNY NAUCHNO-ISSLEDOVATELSKY INSTITUT STROITELNOGO I DOROZHNOGO MASHINOSTROENIA 30 Sept 1969 47985/69 Heading E1F [Also in Division G3] A bulldozer has a blade 3 the. position of which relative to a horizontal plane is automatically sensed and compared with a predetermined position, and means are provided for moving the blade relative to the body of the machine in dependence upon the comparison so as to restore the blade to the predetermined position. A pendulum device 4 senses the position of the blade and is electrically connected via a comparison member 7 and a signal amplifier 8 to a switching unit 9 controlling a hydraulically operated servomotor 11 connected to the blade, the comparison member 7 being fed with a signal representative of the predetermined position from a device 6. The switching unit 9 is also controlled in an overriding manner by a signal from a sensor 16 responsive to the speed of the main shaft of the prime mover of the bulldozer, the signal being compared by a member 15 with a signal from a device 18 representative of a predetermined shaft speed whereby if the speed should fall below that predetermined the blade is raised until the latter speed is attained.
