Abstract
1289398 Rotory positive displacement motors ATLAS COPCO AB 22 Dec 1970 [31 Dec 1969] 60988/70 Heading F1F A reversible rotory motor comprises a rotor 18 with sliding vanes rotatable within a cylinder 21 mounted in a housing 10. The cylinder 21 has inlet ports 26, 27 to which pressure fluid is admitted under the control of a two position reversing valve 41 and outlet ports 28, 29 giving access to the cavity 16 within the housing 10 around the cyclinder 21 which cavity is vented to atmosphere through lens 31. A valve 30 is arranged to close the port 28 or 29 adjacent the operative inlet port 26 or 27 in the direction of rotor rotation. With the reversing valve 41 in the position shown pressure fluid is admitted to an inlet passage 43 to the port 26 and through a passage 50 to inflate a bladder 34 to actuate the valve 30 to close the port 28 and open the port 29. At the same time the bladder 35 is vented to atmosphere through its passage 50 inlet passage 46 valve passage 47 and recess 45. The valve 41 reverses connections to reverse the motor. In a modification the valve 30 can be manually operated by eccentrics on the manually turnable shaft.
