Abstract

1289239 Dyeing textiles TEXTILAUSRUSTUNGS GESELLSCHAFT SCHROERS & CO 19 April 1971 [5 March 1970] 23977/71 Heading D1L Textiles are dyed by causing dye to be transferred from trough 22 to the upper surface of downwardly inclined blade 27 by roller 21, whence the dye passes into channels 19, grooves 31 onto rotatable sieve 82, comb 86 and thence to the upper surface of a textile web, e.g. a carpet passing thereunder. Crossmembers of sieve 82 and teeth of comb 86 break up liquid dye droplets and improve uniformity of product. In a modification (not shown) only the lower sieve band is juxtaposed between dye source and textile.
