Abstract
1288675 Reactor pressure vessels FRIED KRUPP GmbH 1 May 1970 [3 May 1969] 21136/70 Heading G6C In a nuclear reactor prestressed concrete pressure vessel, the inner surface of the concrete is protected by a double-walled metal lining. The stainless steel, cylindrical inner liner, 1, is supported on the radial struts 2, 2<SP>1</SP> which anchor the lining to the concrete. The outer liner 4 is welded to the struts 2 by the cover plates, 5, and s cooled by the tubes 8, welded to its outer surface. The gap between 1 and 4 is filled with concrete. The lining is formed in segments welded together at the joints, 9. The internal pressure is transmitted through the liners to the vessel wall.
