Abstract

1288380 Making bags REED INTERNATIONAL Ltd 10 March 1970 [12 Dec 1968] 59191/68 Heading B5D [Alsoi n Division F2] Apparatus for forming a flat tube in a process for making multi-ply bags has at least two tube forming tables and guide means guiding two or more webs of material to one forming table and two or more webs of material to another forming table. In the arrangement shown webs 8 are fed from reels over rollers 9 to a side line pasting unit and thence over guide roller 10. The top two webs are then guided to its top forming table 14 and the bottom two webs to the lower forming table 13 when with the aid of forming plate they are formed into flat tube in a conventional manner. The flat tubes are subsequently fed to chopping means for cutting into bag lengths.
