1288220 Labelled inulin derivative UNITED KINGDOM ATOMIC ENERGY AUTHORITY 31 Dec 1969 [13 Jan 1969] 2009/69 Heading C3U A novel labelled inulin derivative, comprising inulin having a hydroxymethyl group of which the carbon atom is a carbon-14 atom, is prepared by methylating inulin (carboxylic acid-C14) to give the methyl ester and then reducing the ester to yield the alcohol. The compound may be used diagnostically e.g. in a physiologically inert saline solution.
