Abstract
1287407 Television EMI Ltd 5 Dec 1969 [5 Dec 1968] 57720/68 Heading H4F In a colour television camera comprising an optical system, e.g. as shown in Specification 1,149,522, wherein a beam splitter divides incoming light into a reflected portion, and a transmitted portion which subsequently is analysed into component colour images for colour pick-up tubes, the reflected light is transmitted towards an epidioscope instead of the normal luminance tube and the beam splitter is reduced in reflectance to about 5%, so that when a mirror is disposed before and facing the optical system, and the epidiascope is operated, e.g. in conjunction with a test chart light therefrom passes back along the system, and is reflected by the mirror, and passed by the beam splitter to the colour pick-up tubes. The mirror may be mounted in a turret together with an optical filler, rotation of the turret causing a switch to operate the epidiascope.
