Abstract

1286523 Pulse forming circuits RICOH KK 8 Oct 1969 [19 Oct 1968 (2) 8 March 1969 (2)] 49464/69 Headings H3P and H3T A pulse generator comprises: a temperaturesensitive resistor R through which a capacitor C is charged; at least two switching elements D which break down when the voltage across the capacitor C reaches a predetermined value, and which thereafter exhibit a negative resistance characteristic; and a transformer TF having a primary winding in series with the elements D to form a discharge path for the capacitor C; the resistor R having a characteristic which compensates for variations in the charging voltage. The temperature-sensitive resistor may be a barium titanate semi-conductor or a tungsten filament, the elements D may be gas tubes, stroboscopic tubes or NPNPN diodes, and a rectifier Re may be included in the discharge path.
