1285994 Dispensing articles SALES ACHIEVEMENT Ltd 3 June 1970 [4 March 1969] 11539/69 Heading A4T A dispenser for stacked articles such as cigarette packs 24 has transparent doors 12, 15 which may be lowered to prevent the articles being removed and may be raised to a position which allows the bottom article of a stack to be withdrawn and also allows the doors to be pivoted for replenishment of the articles in the dispenser. The doors 12, 15 are pivoted on a rod 16 and, in the dispensing position, are held closed by magnetic catches 29, 30 and have spigots 28 located at the inner end of the horizontal position of an rshaped recess 27 in the dispenser frame 7. To lower the doors to prevent dispensing a key is inserted into a screwed bushing 21 so that rotation thereof lowers the doors on the rod 16, the spigot 28 enters vertical portion of the recess 27 and the doors are prevented from opening as well as closing the dispensing slots. The dispenser may have adjustable vertical partitions 31 having at their lower ends inclined wings 37 which urge the lowermost packet forward into the dispensing slot, or the wings may be replaced with a fillet 38. The partitions 31 are received in slotted guides 33 whose upstanding teeth are of different length to provide easy visual location of the partitions.
