Abstract

1285104 Terminals SQUARE D CO 5 Oct 1970 [7 Oct 1969] 47187/70 Heading H2E A terminal 10 for a multi-stranded electric cable 22 comprises a body portion 16 having a bore 18 for receiving an unsheathed end 20 of the cable and two binding screws 24 which are received in threaded openings 26 in wall 28, the axes of the openings being spaced longitudinally of the bore from one another and on opposite sides of and parallel to a plane containing the axis of the bore. The apertures are spaced only slightly apart and preferably each overlaps the said plane. Further, it is preferable that the outer wall of each screw from the plane is substantially in alignment with the corresponding side of the bore 18. The terminal is preferably of aluminium or copper
