Abstract

1282268 Endless conveyers STORK AMSTERDAM NV 29 July 1970 [8 Aug 1969] 36758/70 Heading B8A Cylindrical containers with a generatrix of the surface area resting on a supporting surface in the direction of motion are conveyed between fixed guides 3 on to a central ridge 4 such that they are in an unstable equilibrium. Further guides 5 pivoted at 6 and movable by a pneumatic cylinder 9 act to deflect the containers from the ridge on to one of a pair of conveyers 7, 8. The actuation of the cylinder 9 may be such as to form the containers into batches on the conveyers 7, 8. In alternative embodiments (not shown) the guides 5 are replaced by jets of fluid or, if the containers are made of magnetically sensitive material, by magnets.
