Abstract

1282252 Immersion heaters GRANDEUR ALUMINIUM WARE MFG CO Ltd 7 Jan 1971 841/71 Heading H5H An electrically operated immersion heater comprises a heating element 16 seated in a helical groove around the surface of a ceramic core 2. The hollow frusto-conical core is mounted in a housing comprising an aluminium enclosure 3, and an iron plate 4 through which the electrical leads 13, 14 and the fixing bolt, (18), Fig. 2 (not shown), securing the heater to the device to be heated passes. The space 17 between the coil and the housing is filled with a solid insulating material.
