Abstract

1277544 Agitating liquids SOC FARMACEUTICI ITALIA 19 May 1970 [23 May 1969] 24055/70 Heading B1C [Also in Division C6] Apparatus for growing tissue cells and cultivating micro-organisms comprises a number of columns 1 connected to end manifolds 6, a central axis 4 secured to the manifolds about which the columns can be rotated, and a frame 7 providing for rotation of the axis 4 (when disengaged from its own driving means), the columns and manifolds about a second, perpendicular axis 5. This axis may have a driving means (depicted in Fig. 2, not shown). The columns may be of different lengths and diameters. They are made of glass or plastics and may be surrounded by a thermostat jacket.
