Abstract

1,274,003. Mixing vessel. CHEMIEANLAGEN ERFURT-RUDISLEBEN VEB. 23 Sept., 1969, No. 46790/69. Heading B1C. A mixing vessel has a baffle 1 mounted on its inner walls by means of hinges 2, at least one of which is resilient, and is provided with a stop 4. In use, when the contents of the vessel move in the direction indicated by the arrow, the baffle pivots inwards, the extent to which it pivots being determined by the position of the stop. A further stop (not shown) may be provided to ensure that the baffle is at a distance from the inner walls in its rest position so that it can be loaded. The stops may be provided on the walls of the vessel and/or the baffle, and may be adjustable. The hinges may be resilient flaps as shown, or a torsion spring-loaded hinge and pin-and-socket arrangement, (Figs. 3, 4 not shown).
