Abstract

1,271,024. Prefabricated buildings. ELCON A.G. 17 July, 1969 [26 July, 1968], No. 28917/69. Divided out of 1,250,883. Heading E1A. A building, especially of multi-storey construction, is composed of room units having at least one open face and provided with an arrangement of fixed columns 11 together with temporary supports 12 as appropriate, see also Figs. 1A-1F (not shown). A building is erected with the open sides of adjacent units brought together to define an open floor area which extends across the joint between them and is uninterrupted. Each floor panel 15 contains a cast-in joist 35 having an end exposed in a recess 36, the abutting ends of the joists of adjacent room units being suitably interconnected and the recesses filled for details of which operations the Specification should be referred to. For numerous minor details concerning the method of erecting a multistorey building, room layouts, reinforcing the room units and the provision of service fittings and finishes therefor the Specification and remaining drawings (not shown), should be referred to.
