Abstract

1,269,514. Identification cards or the like. THOMAS DE LA RUE & CO. Ltd. 2 Dec., 1969 [12 Dec., 1968; 6 Fzb., 1969], Nos. 59199/68 and 6331/69. Heading B6A. An identification assembly such as a pass or a pass port, comprises a provided backing sheet 1, an identifying means, e.g. a photograph 2 or fingerprint 6, and a top transparent layer 7 secured at least to the backing sheet to enclose the photograph to render it inaccessible without damage. Further security means such as a strip of printed decalcomania 9 may be stuck by pressure or heat sensitive adhesive across the photograph at the front and/or back of the backing sheet. A thin transparent barrier strip 10 to isolate the adhesive 8 of the transparent sheet 1 from part of the decaleomania 9 so that part remains adhered to the photograph if the transparent sheet 7 is removed.
