Abstract

1,267,280. Brake discs. DR. ING. h.c.F. PORSCHE K.G. 3 July, 1970 [9 Aug., 1969], No. 32355/70. Heading F2E. A brake disc is constructed in two parts 2, 3 having spaced projections 7, 8 extending radially to the disc axis X-X, the projections 7 having grooves 10 and nose portions 11 which are deformably press fitted into engagement with the projections 8. U-shaped engaging projections 13, Fig. 2 (not shown), are arranged on one disc part 2 between which the projections 8 are positioned. Projections 8 may be trapezoidal in shape, the longer bases 12 of which faces grooves 10. Cooling air channels (9) may be provided between projections 7, 8. In an alternative construction the projections and grooves are arranged alternately on the disc halves.
