Abstract

1,266,905. Concrete frame joints. H. M. CLYNE and P. J. FAHERTY. 20 March, 1969 [22 March, 1968], No. 14579/69. Heading E1W. Each end of two concrete members to be connected at an angle e.g. rafter and supporting post, is provided with an embedded anchor device comprising a triangular assembly of metal elements viz 2 struts 4, 5 and a tubular element 3 such that when the members are assembled together, elements 3 are in alignment and connected by a connecting bar 9, the members being secured together by bolts 12 passing through angle pieces 10, 11 welded to struts 4. The angle sections are cast in the members flush with the surface and the aligned tubular elements 3 intersect the intermediate stepped abutting surfaces 8. The connecting rod may replace the tubular element of one of the anchor devices.
