Abstract

126,562. McAlister, P. Sept. 30, 1918. Collapsible vessels.-Relates to a boat having collapsible longitudinal and athwartship topsides hinged so as to fold inboards clear of each other and having canvas gueset pieces at the corners or rigid hinged corner topsides. According to the invention, the rigid corner topsides C, Fig. 1, are hinged to fixed sole pieces B, secured to the deck, of such depth as will allow these topsides to fold down upon the other topsides H, L. Canvas gusset pieces may be used in addition at the corners. Inverted U-shaped clips E, Fig. 4, are hinged to the corners of the longitudinal and athwartship topsides H, L to engage and secure the corner topsides C when erected.
