Abstract
1,264,971. Fluid flow control in automatic analysis apparatus. TECHNICON INSTRUMENTS CORP. 27 Feb., 1969 [12 March, 1968], No. 10563/69. Heading B1X. [Also in Division G3] In the automatic analysis apparatus shown, coils 40, 46 50, 54 and 60 have flow resistances much greater than that of the rest of the apparatus and are kept at a constant temperature so that the rate of flow of fluid through the apparatus is kept substantially constant regardless of any variations in the flow resistance of the rest of the apparatus for estimation of glucose in blood samples, the samples from 10 are mixed in coil 76 with gas segmentized water from flask 38 and passed through passages 80 of dialyzer 82. Gas segmentized water from flask 52 passes through passage 88 of dialyser 82 and mixes in coil 96 with ferricyanide reagent from flask 58, and the mixture passes on to colorimeter or photometer 106. Gas at a constant pressure is introduced into the apparatus from bottle 30 via valves 32 and 34.
