Abstract
1,264,448. Mixing apparatus. YUEN SEKIT. 25 Jan., 1971, No. 3093/71. Heading B1C. In a cocktail or other mixer a rotatable agitator member 111 having fins 105 is driven by a motor M through shaft 100, gear train 121, 123, 115, 107 and pawl 109 which engages an internal abutment (108, Fig. 12 not shown) in the member 111, which is freely rotatable on the tube 101. If the motor be reversed, the pawl disengages, the agitator is not driven, and the gears 121, 123 act as a gear pump, drawing in liquid from the container 1 through an aperture (125) (see Figs. 8 and 10, not shown) in the bottom plate 127, and expelling it through an aperture, not depicted into chamber 133 and thence through tubes 101, 100, a further tube (14, Fig. 1 not shown) and discharge spout (16). The motor is reversed by a rocker switch member 38 actuated by press buttons 54.
