Abstract

1,262,905. Laminates. ISOLERINGSAKTIEBOLAGET WMB. 9 May, 1969; No. 23747/69. Heading B5N. [Also in Division E1] A heat insulating panel for roofs is composed of a core of cellular plastics material such as polystyrene united on its two flat surfaces with layers of cork; which may be expanded, or a material equivalent therewith with regard to heat insulating properties and capacity of resistance to heat and mechanical stresses. The core may be recessed about its circumference and the cork layers may be displaced in parallel relatively to one another so as to overlap at the edges. A pair of the recessed panels may be disposed side by side (see Fig. 2) so that a part of one projects into the recess of the other. The panels may be supported by sheet metal and an outer covering of asphalt or roofing felt may be applied over them.
