The process and apparatus of the Parent Specification are modified in that several lengths of material are passed in parallel through the apparatus, there being width-holding devices for the material between the various treatment devices. Conveyor belts having width-holding prongs or J-box storage means are specified holding devices. The other details are similar to those disclosed in the Parent Specification.
