Abstract
1,262,427. Window stops. BECO MEK VERKSTAD AB. 20 Feb., 1970, No. 8216/70. Heading E1J. A horizontally pivoted window is limited in its initial opening movement to a small angle by a fitting 7 sunk into the main frame near the pivot bearings 3 and cooperates with a catch 6 carried by the espagnolette locking bars (not shown) mounted in the sash lower rail and stiles to engage, in the locking positions in recesses in the confronting main frame members, fitting having stop abutments 8, 9, 10 so that in the_locked position of the bar the catch 6 rests against the right hand side of the abutment 11. On unlocking of the bar and pushing the lower rail, the catch is moved against the abutment 9, in, position II and the window is limited to open only through a small angle. The bar is moved to the locked position taking the catch 6 between abutments 8 and 10 and the window can be further opened taking the catch to position III. When the catch is in position II, the bar may be moved to locked position taking the catch 6 into the recess 11 in the abutment 8 in position I the window then being held and locked in a ventilation position.
