Abstract

1,262,392. Roofing panels. A. SALOMON. 19 June, 1969 [21 June, 1968], No. 31184/69. Heading E1W. A roofing element consists of a generally trapezoidal sheet material bent along its longitudinal axis 6 to give a wide angle cross section. One longitudinal edge 8 is bent at 7 so as to be substantially parallel to the other edge 9. One edge 9 is then bent into a turned up portion and the other edge 8 into a turned down portion so as to form flanges which will engage corresponding flanges on the similar adjacent panels. Adjacent panels are secured together by bolts passing through holes drilled in the flanges and the panels when fixed together to form a generally circular roof are supported at their periphery by hookbolts fixed to an annular frame 11. A further supporting frame may underlie the centre of the roof and the central ventilation hole may be covered by a similarly constructed cap 12. The element may be of light metal e.g. aluminium.
