Abstract

1,262,376. Electric motors. DANFOSS A.S. 9 May, 1969 [21 May, 1968], No. 23733/69. Heading H2A. [Also in Division F1] An induction motor comprises a stator 8 with independently rotatable internal and external rotors 9, 10 for driving the fuel pump and blower respectively of a liquid-fuel burner. As shown, a housing 1 has a conventional oil pump 5 located in a cavity 3 and driven by the rotor 9. Rotor 10, which carries blower blades 21, is rotatable on a journal 14 carried by a wall portion 15 which is either secured to the stator or formed integrally with a sleeve 16 fitting over the stator and which is a push-fit on the housing. This sleeve and the wall portions 15 provide a chamber for fuel oil which serves both to slow down rapidly the rotor 9 after switching-off and to cool the motor. In a modification, Fig. 2 (not shown), the fuel chamber is formed by a smaller wall portion (26) integral with a sleeve (23) which fits. between the stator 8 and rotor 9. The blower blades, cage winding -and bearing support for rotor 10 are injection-moulded in one piece.
