Abstract

1,261,413. Doors for incinerators. WASTE COMBUSTION CORP. 8 July, 1969 [9 July, 1968], No. 36737/70. Heading F4B. A door member 24 for an incinerator having and open ended horizontal cylindrical casing is hinged to a U-shaped member 48 pivoted about an axis 64 mounted in bracket 58, 60. The door member 24 has upper and lower brackets 68, 66, carrying pins 70 engaging sockets in the upper and lower lugs 50, 52 of the U-shaped member. Clamps 72 enable the door 24 to be sealed to the casing, the member 48 being cut away at 86 to allow access to the clamps. Aloading door 100 secured by a clamp 72<SP>1</SP> closes an opening in door 24 to allow small amounts of rubbish to be charged without opening the door 24. The incinerator has ash removing apparatus as described in Specification 1,261,411 and air supply arrangements as described in Specification 1,261,412.
