Abstract
1,260,339. Fluid/electrical conductor conduits. ROLLS-ROYCE Ltd. 17 July, 1969, No. 35980/69. Heading F2P. A conduit comprises a rigid outer wall defining a closed interior which is divided by a rigid dividing member into at least two lengthwise extending spaces, at least one of which is adapted for the passage of pressure fluid and another of which contains at least one electrically insulated conductor. In one embodiment fuel for a gas turbine is contained in tube 18 (Fig. 1), which is bonded to the inside of tube 10, whilst thermocouple leads 22 and 24 are passed through space 16, which is filled with magnesium oxide insulating material. In another embodiment (Fig. 2, not shown), the small tube is coaxial with the larger tube, and contains the thermocouple leads. In a third embodiment (Fig. 3, not shown), the two spaces are provided by a diametrically disposed partition. Typical materials for the walls and partitions are stainless steel, and a nimonic alloy.
