1,258,762. Making spray nozzles. JOSEPH LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd. 21 Jan., 1969 [4 Jan., 1968], No. 634/68. Heading B3A. [Also in Divisions B2 and F3-F4] A spray nozzle for producing a substantially flat fan-shaped spray pattern comprises a platelike member 17 having a recess 18, 19 on each face extending transversely of each other and forming a hole at their mid regions and a body 10, 11 in which the member is mounted, the body having two supply passages 16 communicating with opposite ends of one of the recesses. The nozzle is made by forming the plate-like member with the recesses and forming the body preferably from a flanged tube 10 in which is screwed an insert 11 which confines the plate-like member and a member 13 having two passages 16. The passages 16 are aligned with the ends of recess 18 on assembly.
