Cars and cabins; propelling framework.-Cowlings and similar casings or fairings for aircraft are constructed of a number of sections joined together by means of jointing-strips forming selflocking seam joints. Fig. 2 shows a jointing- strip f inserted lengthways over the flanged edges a of two sections b<1>, b<2> of the cowling &c., and Fig. 3 shows the joint completed by hammering, &c.
