Abstract
1,258,708. Endless conveyers. HUTTE KREMS G.m.b.H. 9 April, 1970 [28 May, 1969], No. 16861/70. Heading B8A. Rolls of material etc. or containers for such rolls are mounted between a pair of spaced endless chains each having a plurality of projecting pins 5 to receive sleeves 9 mounted on opposite ends of the core 8 of a roll or the ends of a container. Each sleeve is urged by a spring 11 into engagement with the pins and mounts a collar 20 engageable by one of a pair of arms 14 mounted for axial movement, under the action of an hydraulic actuator, along a shaft 13 so that the rolls or containers may be loaded and unloaded from the chains. The shaft 13 may be rotated by a handle 15 to deposit the roll or container on pegs 23 carried by a pair of opposed discs 22, the roll then being rotated on its axis by a drive roller (25), Fig. 6 (not shown), so that the material etc. may be unrolled across a table (26) beneath a cutting knife (27).
