Abstract

[Also in Divisions B1-B2, E1 and F1] Wet or dry concrete mix is discharged under air pressure from containers 14, 16 to a pump having a preliminary auger portion 182 and a motor 116 co-operating with a rubber stator 184. Pumping is assisted by pressure air supplied to a connection 114 and transmitted through an axial bore 192 in the rotor. The pump discharges to a hose which may include or terminate in the device of Fig. 7 which may act as a booster or cement gun. Material enters through the nozzle 212 having a downstream bevel which mates with the bevel 228 of a jet 220. Pressure fluid from the conduit 204 passes through the slots 230 and also through the circumferential openings 226. A second stage is provided by a front jet 236 having a bevelled surface 240 with slots 242, which engages with the bevel 233 of the jet 220, further pressure fluid being provided by the conduit 206 which discharges between the jets 220, 236. A discharge nozzle barrel 248 may be provided; or a single stage comprising body 200, nozzle 212 and jet 236 with a single pressure fluid conduit may be inserted in the hose every 100 feet or less to move the material through it.
