A garment 1 and at least two pockets 3 are such that the pockets 3 are releasably attachable to the garment 1 and, when released from the garment 1, to each other. Each pocket 3 is secured to the garment 1 by means of hooks 7 on the pocket which are engageable with eyes 6 on the garment. Each pocket 3 has an opening 8. The pockets 3 may be attached to each other by attaching means, such as press-studs or buttons, Velcro (R.T.M.), which are located on their sides which, when the pockets 3 are attached to the garment, are in contact with the garment. When secured to each other the pockets 3 form a portable receptacle. The hooks 7 and eyes 6 may be replaced by press-studs and buttons. In a second embodiment, the means for securing the pockets 3 to the garment 1 may also be used to attach the pockets to each other (Fig. 2, not shown).
