Abstract

1,256,639. Portable flashing lamp. D. A. BOTTING. 15 Aug., 1969, No. 40817/69. Heading F4R. In a portable flashing lamp for use by motorists, a red or amber lens 2 is provided at one end of a cylindrical casing and a clear lens 4 at the other. The lenses may be detachably held in place by rings 5, or the lenses may be a push-fit into casing 1 or be screw-threaded into the casing. A control unit 21 controls the flashing of light bulb 11, whilst bulb 18 may be energized continuously or not energized. Leads 35, 39 are provided for connection to a vehicle battery. Ventilation holes 41, 42 are provided in the casing 1 and a semicircular stand 23. The stand 23 may be replaced by folding legs.
