A baby's napkin comprises a fluid impermeable cover 1 made from sheet plastics material and having flaps 2, 3, 4, 5 which in use are tied in pairs 2, 3 and 4, 5 around the baby's legs, and a piece of absorbent tissue or the like 11 whose ends are received by pockets in the cover. The cover 1 is stamped from sheet material and the pockets are formed by folding tongues 10a, 10b towards one another and welding them at 12. (For Figure see next page)
