In a board game wherein pieces representing football teams are moved progressively up through the divisions of a football league and take part in cup competitions according to the throw of dice, the board is divided into four areas, each of which is subdivided into twenty-four squares and represents one of the four league divisions. Bridging these areas at the top of the board is a rectangular track 5, 6, 7 representing the F.A. Cup competition and the European Cup competition. Lead-in tracks 1, 1 to 4, 4 connect each of the divisions to the said track. Each person playing acts as the manager of a team represented by a piece which is moved progressively up through the divisions starting at the bottom of the fourth, the number of squares moved at one time being determined by the match result as given by two dice which respectively show the score in goals for and against. "Manager's" teams play against each other when their pieces occupy squares bearing the same stadium name and exchange play money. in an amount shown on the square according to the match result. Furthermore they obey instructions to buy and sell team members, &c., as shown on the board and on a set of "chance" cards which are drawn from a pack when a piece lands on a square marked 'penalty'. Points are awarded for the positions reached in the divisions and in the cup championships at the end of the game which is played for a set time, the winner being the "manager" with the highest number of points at the end of that time.
