An adjusting nut 1 is secured on the threaded end of a spindle 2 by an externally threaded apertured disc 4 screwed on to the end of the nut 1 and abutting the end of the spindle 2 and is held in position by a bolt 6 passed through the aperture in the disc 4 and screwed into the spindle 2 so as to elastically deform the disc 4 into a locking position.
