Abstract

1,251,057. Load-guiding columns. DEMAGZUG G.m.b.H. 28 Nov., 1968 [17 Jan., 1968], No. 56604/68. Heading B8H. The flanges 1 of a U-section upright are connected by a sheet metal member 3 and have secured thereto guide rails 2 formed with bearing surfaces 2a which are machined exactly true to gauge after the member 3 has been welded to the upright. The rails 2 are secured, by welding or by screws, to the upright flanges 1 at positions on or adjacent the centroidal plane S of the upright.
