A sheep handling device comprises a receptacle 10, a support 13 at the rear for tilting the receptacle, the upper edge of the rear wall having a recess 12 to receive the animals neck. The device may be constructed of wood, metal or fibreglass. In an alternative embodiment, Fig. 2, (not shown) the receptacle comprises an open box-like frame.
